Runners and walkers, lace up your shoes on Saturday, July 3, for the Madison Firecracker 10K. This year’s in-person race marks 42 years of a running tradition in historic Madison, Indiana. The race will start at 8:00 a.m. at Madison Consolidated High School and traverse around the historic Madison State Hospital, while providing picturesque views of the Ohio River, before traveling down 400’ of elevation on Hanging Rock Hill and ending at Lytle Park in downtown Madison. Transportation will be available to take participants back to the race start. Awards will be presented at Lytle Park to the top runners and age group finishers. Runners can register for $30. Registration for walkers is $25. Participants must sign up by June 24 to secure a t-shirt. Registration is available online at https://www.racemenu.com/events/203187-Madison-Firecracker-10K- The registration link can be found on the Madison Firecracker 10K Facebook page. Registration will take place from 6- 7:45 a.m. on race day. Participants can register for the same price on race morning, but a shirt will not be included.
