Painting & Portrait Drawing Class ~ June 5, 12 and 26 5:00pm-6:30pm Madison Public Library
A comprehensive series of classes on Mondays at the Library. Landscape painters will pursue landscape painting of their own conception, in the medium of their choice: oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, colored pencils, ink, charcoal, graphite…mixed media, whatever! Each student will need to purchase materials for the class. Instructor Russell Vossler will coach, tutor, nurture, and cheer on student efforts, giving demos and step-by-step instruction as needed (such as for color mixing, technique, perspective, and so on), but the emphasis will be on creativity and fun, and getting right to work making masterpieces! Drawing students can continue their studies in drawing, observation, and interpretation via Portraiture (or whatever other kind of drawing they choose). New students of drawing will be welcome to join. Suggested supplies for Drawing are common household/office-type items; regular No. 2 pencils, pens, office-type printer paper, a ruler or straight edge, and a drawing board of some kind. Other materials can be used, as desired, also. Adult and Young Adult – all skill levels are welcome. Instructor Russ Vossler.
