The Ohio County Historical Society presents the Flo & Edna Quilt Exhibit, April 4-21, at the Rising Sun History Museum in Rising Sun. The display is the first public showing of quilts on loan by Judy George and Sally McWilliams of Madison, IN. Walk through forty years of quilt making, from the Depression Era everyday quilts to the top-of-the-line bed applique quilts of the 1960s. See how fabric availability, color, patterns, and applique kits changed the look and purpose of quilt making for mid century grandmothers Flo Askin and Edna George.
Admission is free with donations appreciated. The Rising Sun History Museum is located at 212 S Walnut Street in Rising Sun. Hours are Mon-Fri, 10 am to 4 pm, and Sat-Sun from noon to 4 pm.
