Scanning Memories: Scan Your Treasures for Free ~ May 17 3:30pm-4:15pm Madison Public Library
The Genealogy and Local History Department of the Jefferson County Public Library has been preserving the history of the Library with use of funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and a grant from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). We have enlisted the help of interns to scan original materials, which include catalogues; early board minutes and other ephemera, pertaining to the founding and early happenings of JCPL. Please join us on May 17, 2022 for a presentation on the project; and an opportunity to preserve your own history, by bringing in your photographs, documents and other paper memories. Participants will be able to make appointments for scanning materials longer than three pages. Adult.
