Traffic Stop led to arrest

Sunday, Madison Police arrested Ethan A, Coots 24, Louisville, Kentucky, and Michael S. Edmonson 38, Louisville, Kentucky, on numerous drug related charges. The arrest of Coots and Edmonson is the result of a traffic stop executed by Madison Police Patrolman Cameron Blankenship, in the 900 block of Jefferson Street.
During the subsequent investigation into the stop, Madison Police Officers located approximately forty-eight (48) grams of methamphetamine, along with other drugs and paraphernalia. Given the significant amount of methamphetamine, and other evidence discovered during the investigation, both subjects were charged with a level two (2) felony dealing methamphetamine charges. In addition to the dealing charges, both face level three (3) felony possession of methamphetamine, class "A" misdemeanor possession of a scheduled drug, class "A" misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and class "A" misdemeanor possession of paraphanailia.
Patrolman Blankenship was assisted with the investigation by Captain Dan Slygh and Senior Patrolman Chad Wehner. Ethan Coots, and Michael Edmonson have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
