Calls coming from a 833 prefix

There is a new Phone Scam out. This scam call is a group acting as the Social Security Administration. They tell you through a recording at first that your Social Security number is suspended and an arrest warrant is being issued. They want you to then press 1 to speak to an agent.

Don’t fall victim to these scam artist like any other government agency the Social Security administration will not call you and threaten to arrest you if you don’t settle a bill or pay them money. The majority of the phone calls show up with a prefix of (833).
