Flood Warning Continues Until 9:40 a.m. Sunday

Resident should use caution in areas with high water.

(Jefferson County, Ind.) - Jefferson County Emergency Management announced today that the flood warning continues for the Ohio River at Clifty Creek. 

This warning will be in effect until Sunday morning. At 11:00 a.m. Thursday, the flood stage was at 451.3 feet. 

Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to rise to a crest of 452.8 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below the flood stage early Sunday morning. 

Lower parts of Milton will flood including the public landing in Madison. Vaughn Drive will also be affected along with the City of Madison campground. Water will also reach State Highway 56 towards Vevay. 

Residents should use caution in the areas with higher water.
