Madison Man Arrested Following Shooting

On March 20, 2022 just after 7:00PM, MPD Officer Josh Nolan responded to a report of a 9 year old child who had been shot with a BB gun in the area of Springwood drive. 

Officer Nolan located the juvenile, who was found to have two wounds from the incident. The initial investigation showed that the Juvenile was walking alone near the park and was then approached by another juvenile and two adult males. One adult, identified as Jacob S. Durham, then pointed a BB gun at the juvenile and fired it, striking the juvenile twice. 

Jacob S. Durham, 18 years old of Madison, was arrested for battery as a level 6 felony and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail
