Madison Man Arrested on Warrants and Drug Charge

Presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.

Saturday Night, at approximately 9:41 PM - Madison Police arrested Dereck Ray Gotts 40, Madison, Indiana, on three outstanding warrants.  Two warrants for Theft L-6 felony and a third warrant for Escape L-6 felony.  Gotts was taken into custody by Madison Police Officer Josh Nolan, who observed Gotts walking in the 150 block of Taft Drive.The subsequent search of Gotts' person found him to be in possession of methamphetamine, also a level 6 felony. 

Dereck Gotts was transported to the Jefferson County jail without incident and is currently incarcerated on a $15,000.00 dollar cash bond only.  Gotts has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
