Heart care expands in office hours dedicated to residents of Madison and surrounding communities
Louisville, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2023) – Norton Heart & Vascular Institute welcomes Keith A. McLean, M.D., cardiologist, to Norton King’s Daughters’ Health in Madison, Indiana. The office is located in the Norton King’s Daughters’ Health Downtown Medical Building at 630 N. Broadway. With the addition of Dr. McLean, the office will have three providers seeing patients Monday through Friday.
Dr. McLean is board certified in cardiology and provides specialized heart care for his patients, including education and treatment of key factors to prevent the onset of heart disease. This may include medication management for blood pressure and cholesterol. He will work with the team at Norton King’s Daughters’ Health to administer diagnostic testing, such as electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, stress tests and more Having a practice in Madison allows Dr. McLean to provide that care close to home for patients in Jefferson, Scott, Ripley, Switzerland and surrounding counties in Indiana.
“I am looking forward to working in the Madison community and am excited about the opportunity to connect with patients from the area,” Dr. McLean said. “My philosophy of care is to listen to my patients, and rely heavily on their history and physical exam to make a diagnosis while also having the tests and diagnostics available to further investigate health concerns.
” Dr. McLean brings 25 years of experience in cardiology to the Norton Heart & Vascular Institute team. He joins cardiologists Anil K. Sharma, M.D., and Gerasimos S. Stavens, M.D., in the Madison office.
Before joining Norton Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. McLean was a cardiologist with JenCare Senior Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and was director of echocardiography at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois. He also spent 15 years as a cardiologist at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. McLean is an associate member of the American College of Cardiology.
