Madison Wins 8th Boys Golf Sectional In A Row, Southwestern 2nd

Jefferson Co. golfers claim 4 of top 5 spots

Madison Cubs win their 8^th Boys Sectional Golf Title in a row, shooting a 319 to advance to the IHSAA Regional.

Southwestern finishes 2^nd at 327 and Jennings Co. 3^rd at 335 also advance to the regional.

Bryce Kircher of Jennings Co. was sectional champion with a 71 one stroke better than Southwetern’s Hunter Mefford in 2^nd with a 72. Madison’s top golfer was Drew Barron with a 74 in 3^rd. 

IHSAA Madison Boys Golf Sectional Results

Luke Ommen of Madison tied for 4th with Trenton Hadley of Southwestern at 75. Shawe’s top golfer was Chandler Cole with 85 and Switzerland County’s was Garrett Demaree at 86.

Southwestern's 327 is a new school record for 18 holes.

Regional will be Thursday at Champions Pointe Golf Course in Henryville.
