Inaugural FGL Fest Cancelled Due To Weather

Races were also postponed

Inaugural FGL Fest was Cancelled Due To severe weather.

FGL Fest was scheduled to take place on Saturday (Sept. 8) at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Ind. According to a joint statement issued by the track and Live Nation, the event could not go forward because of the torrential rains that are sweeping the area.

“We deeply regret to announce that today’s FGL Fest at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been canceled,” the statement reads. “This decision was made after a comprehensive review of current and forecasted weather conditions, and with the safety of event attendees as our top priority.”

The announcement came just a few short hours before gates were to open and artists were to take the stage.

The Brickyard 400 is scheduled to run today after rain postponed the race yesterday.

The Xfinity Series race will run this morning, while the Brickyard 400 is slated for this afternoon.

It's the first rain delay in the 25-year race history.
