80 Grams of Meathamphetamine Seized During Traffic Stop

(Jennings County, Ind.) - Three were arrested following a traffic stop in Country Squire Lakes. 

On Wednesday, April 7, Sergeant Cody Low with the Jennings County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop after observing Robert Summers III, 27, driving. From previous dealings, Sergeant Low knew Summer did not have a valid driver's license. 

While speaking with Summers and two female passengers, who were identified as 42-year-old Rea Grider, and 28-year-old Brittany Erwin, Sergeant Low became suspicious of criminal activity. 

Sergeant Low then deployed his canine partner Axel, who alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics inside of the vehicle. 

While searching the vehicle, deputies located approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine that was packaged for distribution, digital scales, multiple baggies, syringes, and drug paraphernalia. 

All three individuals were then arrested without incident and are currently being held in the Jennings County Jail. 

Their charges are as follows:

Rea Grider:

  • Dealing Methamphetamine over 28 grams (level 2 felony)
  • Possession of Methamphetamine over 28 grams (level 3 felony)
  • Possession of Syringe (level 6 felony)
  • Possession of Paraphernalia (B misdemeanor)

Robert Summers III:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine (level 6 felony)

Brittany Erwin:

  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance (a misdemeanor)
