(Canaan, Ind.) - A 9-year-old boy died and his parents were injured when a tree fell during Wednesday's thunderstorms and crushed the family’s mobile home in Canaan.

According to officials, Brayden Miller, the son of Ben and Abby Miller, died from blunt force trauma after wind and rain toppled the tree and it crashed down on the family’s home at about 4:30 p.m.

There were actually five members of the Miller family at home at the time of the storm. Ben and Abby Miller were treated and released at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Health Emergency Room. Brayden’s two siblings — and boy and a girl — were not injured.

The family lost all of their belonging in the tragedy and is currently staying in a motel. A GoFundMe  page has been established to assist the family.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, www.morgan-nay.com.
