Amazon Scam is Targeting Madison area

Madison Police warn of Amazon scam in the area

(Madison, Ind.) - The Madison area is the target of the "AMAZON SCAM".  The caller will inform you that your Amazon account has been hacked and they are going to deposit money back into your account.  This is a scam and NOT the way Amazon would do business.  Do not release any personal information whatsoever, simply hang up on them.  

NEVER give personal information out over the phone, legitimate companies will not operate in this manner.  Your area law enforcement agency can assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
