In addition to the attempted auto theft, Walker was found to be in possession of money stolen from the victim's vehicle.

(Madison,Ind.) - On April 6, Madison police received a report of a male subject attempting to steal a vehicle in the 700 block of East Main Street.
After receiving a description of the suspect, Madison Police Sr. Patrolman Seth Melton located 27-year-old James D.Walker on the Madison - Milton Bridge approach walkway.
Walker fit the description of the suspect, and was later identified as the person who attempted to steal the vehicle. In addition to the attempted auto theft, Walker was found to be in possession of money stolen from the victim's vehicle.
Sr. Patrolman Seth melton was assisted with the investigation by Lieutenant Dan Slygh, Detective Shawn Scudder, and Patrolman Chad Wehner.
