(Ripley County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Olco, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 129 just north of Cross Plains on or after Monday, September 15, to complete a pipe repair project in Ripley County.

The closure will take place on S.R. 129 between East County Road 750 South and East County Road 650 South. State Road 129 is expected to reopen in  late October, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows U.S. 421 to S.R. 250.

This project is part of a contract awarded to Olco in December 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
