DOMESTIC BATTERY LANDS AN INDIANA STATE POLICE TROOPER BEHIND BARS

Madison- An Indiana State Trooper is behind bars, Jacob Samuel Tolle of Madison has been with charged with Domestic Battery in the presence of a Minor, Strangulation and Communication Intimidation all Level 6 felonies. 

The arrest stems from an alleged assault on his wife at their home in Madison 

Tolle is a trooper with the ISP Versailles Post 

Officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept responded to the residence regarding a welfare check after an alleged argument between Tolle and his wife.

Their were no serious injuries and medical treatment was not required but based on statements and allegations there was enough evidence to substantiate charges being filed.

The trooper's primary patrol doesn't include Jefferson County but for safety reasons the trooper is being held in an isolated and segregated area of the jail so he has no contact with other inmates.

He is currently suspended without pay this is pending the outcome of the investigation
