(Floyd County, Ind.) – A Louisville woman was charged with seven felonies after police say she caused a crash on Interstate 265 in Floyd County in March.

Indiana State Police say, Taylor A. Barfoot, 31, was driving the wrong direction on the interstate just after 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 when she slammed head-on into another vehicle.

Taylor Cole, 21, her 3-year-old son along with passenger, Leah Onstott, 22, were killed in the crash. Onstott’s 3-year-old son was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital, but his condition has not been released.

Police believe that alcohol played a factor in the crash. Earlier this month WDRB reported that Cole’s family filed a lawsuit that claimed that Barefoot left a work party for Sazerac where she had been drinking before getting behind the wheel.

Barefoot, is now facing seven felony charges, which include six-level, four felony felonies for OWI causing death and a Level 5 Felony for involuntary manslaughter for the death of a fetus.

Barefoot pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday morning. She was released on bond after 10 percent of her $500,000 bond was posted. She is due back in court in May for a pretrial conference.
