Four Juveniles, One Other Detained in Shots Fired, Pursuit in Gallatin Co.

(Gallatin County, Ky.) - Five people have been detained and one remains at large following a shooting incident in Gallatin County. 

On Sunday at 4:02 a.m., Gallatin County Sheriff's deputies were called to the 700 block of Dry Creek Road, where a caller stated they were forced off the roadway by another vehicle. 

The other vehicle then opened fire with a handgun. The victims escaped the situation by running into a nearby field. 

Minutes later, a vehicle matching the description of the shooter's vehicle was located near Sparta Pike and Highway 455. A felony traffic stop was conducted and the vehicle fled on Sparta Pike. 

The vehicle was disabled near the intersection of Highway 465 West and Highway 47. 

Four juveniles in the vehicle were detained. Two others fled on foot with one being taken into custody after a short foot pursuit and the other still at large. The identity of the subject at large is known by law enforcement. 

One juvenile has been charged with four counts of Attempted Murder, seven counts of Wanton Endangerment, Fleeing or Evading Police, and Possession of a Handgun by a Minor.
