IDEM awards $444,435 in Community Recycling Grants

Locally, Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District (SWMD) was awarded $29,463.00.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) has announced the recipients of the Community Recycling Grant Program.

There has been $444,435 awarded to over 21 applicants.

"The Community Recycling Grants are a great way for IDEM to promote and encourage recycling at the local level," said IDEM Commissioner Bruno Pigott. "IDEM is proud to work with communities to promote recycling throughout the state."

These grants are available to counties, solid waste management districts, municipalities, schools, and nonprofit organizations located in Indiana.

Locally, Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District (SWMD) was awarded $29,463.00.

Grant funding is intended to create successful, cost-effective programs. Applicants must demonstrate a positive environmental impact within the project service area. For more information, please contact 800-988-7901 or recycle@idem.IN.gov.
