INDIANA DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT AND PLACEMAKING GRANTS

Deadline to apply is Feb 2, 2024

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) announced two grants – the Indiana Destination Development Grant and IN Indiana Placemaking Activation Grant.

“Indiana is a diverse state that’s full of character, and we plan to continue showcasing that through these placemaking and development projects,” said Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, Indiana's Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development. “The projects create a wonderful opportunity for us to work together with our local communities to add to the incredible Hoosier state in a positive way. From the smallest towns to the largest cities, there is something for everyone IN Indiana.”

The IN Indiana Placemaking Activation Grant gives communities the unique opportunity to create IN Indiana artwork and signage in highly-visible locations throughout the state. This is a matching grant of up to $25,000 to fund signage and placemaking efforts.

The Indiana Destination Development Grant seeks to fund high-impact projects that raise Indiana's capacity for attracting visitors, providing tourism experiences and enhance residential quality of life. This is a matching grant of between $50,000 and $250,000 that any and all entities are eligible to apply for.

The IDDC is now accepting applications for both grants and the deadline to submit is Feb. 2, 2024, at 4 p.m. ET. All entities are eligible to apply for the Indiana Destination Development Grant. Entities eligible to apply for the IN Indiana Placemaking Grant are limited to municipalities, counties, communities, destination marketing organizations, Mainstreet organizations and chambers of commerce.

"Telling and illustrating Indiana's authentic story has continued to be a crucial part of our objectives,” said IDDC Secretary and CEO Elaine Bedel. “Whether these projects attract visitors to a new part of Indiana or put a warm smile on local residents as they travel to and from home, we are thrilled to continue creating spaces throughout Indiana that showcase how each of our communities are truly unique but still linked together.”
