Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Department Searching For Hit And Run Driver

Bike rider serious condition

At approximately 3:45am on May 27, 2018 the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department responded to a serious personal injury accident on US 421 between Old SR 62 and the roundabout in the Northbound lane.

Deputies arrived and found a bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene. The bicyclist was transported for treatment of his injuries and was in serious condition.

If anyone knows any information about this accident please contact the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department at 812-265-2648 and speak with Deputy Brad Demaree or Det. Yancy Denning.
