Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Department Searching For Hit And Run Driver

Bike rider serious condition

At approximately 3:45am on May 27, 2018 the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department responded to a serious personal injury accident on US 421 between Old SR 62 and the roundabout in the Northbound lane.

Deputies arrived and found a bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene. The bicyclist was transported for treatment of his injuries and was in serious condition.
