Huff was also sentenced to 60 days in jail for Possession of Paraphernalia that will run concurrent to the prison sentence.

On May 16, 2023, a Jefferson Superior Court jury convicted Huff in connection with a case involving a stolen golf cart. Prosecutor David R. Sutter said Angela M. Huff, 36, was found guilty of Level 6 felony Auto Theft and Class C misdemeanor Possession of Paraphernalia at the conclusion of the jury trial. After the verdict was reached, Huff admitted to being a Habitual Felony Offender.

“I appreciate the service of the jury. I am pleased with the outcome and am glad that the jury returned a guilty verdict,” said Prosecutor Sutter.

The case began on July 29, 2022, when a local business owner called law enforcement to report his golf cart had been stolen from Vaughn Drive in Madison. The Madison Police Department quickly responded and located Huff with the golf cart in question on McIntire Street that same day. The golf cart was then returned to its owner.

Senior Patrolman Chad Wehner placed Huff under arrest for Auto Theft and transported her to the Jefferson County Jail. Once at the jail, Huff was found to be in possession of a glass pipe.

Sutter credited Deputy Prosecutor Emily Schebler for successfully presenting the case.

“I also want to thank the Madison Police Department for their quick response in locating both the stolen golf cart and the individual responsible for the theft. I especially would like to thank Officers Chad Wehner and Trent Smith, Detective Shawn Scudder, and Captain Dan Slygh for their handling of this case.”
