The cause of the fire has not been determined, but no foul play is suspected at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.

(Ghent, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police Post 5 Detectives are conducting a Death Investigation following a fatal house fire that occurred over the weekend in Carroll County.
Just after 3:00 p.m.on Saturday, July 4 Post 5 was notified of a house fire at 202 Fishing Lane in Ghent. Once the fire was extinguished by the Ghent Fire Department a deceased female was discovered.
Constance Beal, 45, of Ghent was identified as the victim.
A second individual, Peggy O'Neil, 74, of Ghent suffered injuries as a result of the fire and was transported by helicopter to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Jerry Beckham, 54, of Ghent, was also in the residence when the fire broke out, but was able to escape without injury.
