Victims who have submitted personal information should contact the Kentucky Attorney Generals' office.

(Frankfort, Ky.) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is warning residents of a scam text that is attempting to steal information.
According to a press release from KYTC, a text message that includes a line from the sender “KYDOT” has been sent to many Kentuckians.
Officials say that the text is not from KYTC and recipients are warned not to click on the link that asks for personal information. The cabinet says they do not send text messages that solicit personal information.
Victims who have submitted personal information should contact the Kentucky Attorney Generals' office by visiting, ag.ky.gov, and follow their guidance concerning potential identity theft.
