Madison Couple Arrested on Narcotics Charges

These arrest are a result of a lengthy investigation

                                       

February 27, 2022, Madison Police arrested Charles Anothony Douglass-Bladen 39, Madison, Indiana, and Jacqueline A. Robak 27, Madison, Indiana, on narcotic related charges.

Bladen and Robak were taken into custody on Ivy Tech drive after a traffic stop was initiated by Patrolman / K-9 Officer Trent Smith.  Bladen was a passenger in Robak's vehicle and had an active warrant for his arrest.  Bladen's warrant is the result of MPD's ongoing nartic investigation in which Bladen is accused of dealing methamphetamine.  That investigation was led by MPD Detective's Ricky Harris and Kyle Cutshaw. 

Officer Smith's K-9 partner "Colt '' conducted an open air sniff of Robak's vehicle, the K-9 gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located methamphetamine.  

Charles (Tony) Bladen faces preliminary alleged charges of L-6 Obstruction of Justice (Bladen attempted to conceal methamphetamine in a Mountain Dew bottle) and L-6 Possession of Methamphetamine.  Bladen's outstanding Jefferson County warrants include L-6 Possession of Methamphetamine and L-4 Dealing Methamphetamine.  Jacqueline Robak faces preliminary alleged charges of L-5 Possession of Methamphetamine. 

Charles Andthony Douglass-Bladen and Jacqueline  A. Robak have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Officer Smith was assisted by Sergeant William Watterson and Patrolman Chad Wehner.
