Tuesday Morning , at approximately 2:50AM Madison Police Patrolman Cameron Blankenship executed a traffic stop in the 100 block of Clifty Drive, for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle did not possess a valid Indiana driver's license.
Amanda Ash 38, Madison, Indiana, was a passenger in the vehicle. The subsequent investigation found Ash to be in possession of methamphetamine and a syringe, both are level 6 felonies.
Amanda Ash has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. Blankenship was assisted by Patrol Officers Zack Nicholson and Nichole Midgett. Ash is currently incarcerated at the Jefferson County Jail.
