(Jennings County, Ind.) - On April 14, Jennings County Deputies were called the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Geneva township that led the arrest of one on multiple charges.
Upon arrival at the scene on County Road 940 west, deputies spoke with a witness where they were informed that a male subject had fled the scene on foot prior to their arrival.
Sgt. Allen Ritchie then deployed canine partner Vampir, to conduct a search of the area.
Vampir was then able to local Daniel R. Dickmeyer, 57, of North Vernon hiding in a wooded area several hundred yards behind a residence.
Dickmeyer was then taken into custody without incident. Deputies later found that Dickmeyer had an outstanding arrest warrant from Bartholomew County.
Dickmeyer was transported to St. Vincent in Jennings County where he was treated for minor injuries, he was then booked into the Jennings County Jail on the following charges.
Resisting Law Enforcement ( Class A Misdemeanor), Public Intoxication (Class B Misdemeanor), Bartholomew County Warrant.
