Police: Pickup Truck Stolen from Vevay Gas Station, Suspect in Custody

(Vevay, Ind.) – A truck was stolen from a Vevay gas station on Thursday morning.

According to the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office, a Dodge Ram was stolen from the Vevay Shell Gas Station.

Deputies gathered initial evidence of the vehicle theft and relevant information and then dispersed it to neighboring counties.

Around 7:30 a.m., the vehicle was located passing through Ohio County, and a short time later the driver pulled into a driveway along State Road 56 just before Thuermer Hollow, according to a police dispatch. 

The stolen vehicle was recovered, and a suspect was apprehended.

The Vevay Police Department is handling the investigation and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
