 
                            The Sheriff Warned Them On January 1st
On April 4, 2019, deputies and detectives from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, officers from the Scottsburg Police Department, officers from the Austin Police Department and troopers with the Indiana Stata Police, responded to a male alleged to have a gun threatening people on Jack Morgan Road. Upon the officer’s arrival it was learned that the suspect had left. A short time later a traffic stop was conducted with what was believed to be the suspect vehicle on State Road #56 near Slab Road in Scottsburg.
 During the traffic stop, Jimmy G. Conley, 41, of Austin was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

 Mark Crocker, 58, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

 James Meredith, 33, of Austin was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

 Brenda Linscott, 40, of Austin was arrested for Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Trafficking with an Inmate.

 Brittany Horman, 30, of Anderson, IN was arrested for Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Later after the traffic stop, a further investigation was conducted at the address of 5472 N. Jack Morgan Road. With the cooperation of the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office a Search Warrant was obtained. Before the search warrant was obtained officers at the scene arrested:
 Carlos Dunn, 31, of New Albany for Possession of a Handgun without a License and Possession of Marijuana and

 Catherine Armstrong, 31, of Jeffersonville was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

During the search Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Paraphernalia were located.
This investigation is continuing.
