Presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.

December 7, 2021, @ approximately 8:00 PM Madison Police Patrolman Trent Smith arrested Becky J. Walters 42, Hanover, Indiana, and Christina M. Walters 27, Madison, Indiana, on narcotic related charges.
Officer Smith executed a traffic stop at Second & Walnut Streets, on a pick-up truck driven by Becky Walters. The subsequent circumstances led to the deployment of Smith's K-9 partner "Colt".
The K-9 conducted an open air sniff around Walters' vehicle and he (Colt) gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics. During the subsequent search, officers located methamphetamine, syringes, and paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs.
Both Becky and Christina Walters were taken into custody and face preliminary alleged charges of L-6 possession of methamphetamine, L-6 possession of a syringe, and A/M possession of paraphernalia. Christina Walters and Becky Walters have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. Captain Season Jackson, and Sergeant Aaron Watson assisted Smith.
