July 6, 2021, at approximately 10:49 AM Madison Police arrested Kendra E. Roark 22, Vevay, Indiana, and Robert A. Rowlett 33, Milton, Kentucky.  Both Roark and Rowlett were booked into the Jefferson County Jail for theft / possession of stolen property L-6 felony.

Madison Police received information that Kendra Roark had traveled to her community corrections meeting in a stolen gray Jeep.  Officers conducted surveillance of the area and located the Jeep on Second Street, just East of the community corrections facility.  Officers noted a male subject, later identified as Rowlett, sitting behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle.

Officers continued to monitor the vehicle until Roark exited community corrections, at which time both Roark and Rowlett were taken into custody without incident.  Numerous items were located in the vehicle that connected Roark to the stolen Jeep.

The Jeep was entered into the National Crime Information Center data bank as a stolen vehicle out of the State of Ohio.  Patrolman Chad Wehner is leading this ongoing investigation with the assistance of Lt. Dan Slygh, Detective Jeremey Perkins and Detective Shawn Scudder.  Both Kendra Roark and Robert Rowlett have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
