Versailles Fire Department Creating Retention, Recruitment Fund

(Versailles, Ind.) - The Versailles Fire Department has recently received a grant through the Indiana Fire Chief's Association for Firefighter recruitment and retention. 

With this, the department is developing and implementing a recruitment and retention program. The department stated that the number of volunteers that are responding to emergencies is continuing to decrease. 

The Versailles Fire Department is being proactive and is going to use this program to recruit and retain firefighters for the Versailles and Johnson Township Communities.

If you would like more information or would like to volunteer you can stop by the fire station any Monday nights or call Chief Sieverding at (812) 621-1150.
