(Versailles, Ind.) – Another popular area event has been canceled due to concerns stemming from COVID-19.
This year’s 118th Versailles Pumpkin Show has been added to the long list of canceled events around the area.
The only other time this annual fall festival was canceled was during World War II.
The Versailles Lions club made the unanimous decision to cancel this year’s event after their most recent meeting, reports The Versailles Republican.
According to the report, the Lions Club believes the decision to cancel is the responsible thing to do as COVID-19 cases continue to increase in the Hoosier State.
Event goers can expect a return of the Pumpkin Show in 2021.
