40th Annual Pairings revealed for Softball State Tournament

Sectional play gets underway May 26th

The pairings for the IHSAA Softball State Tournament were announced Sunday evening with 368 teams placed into sectional brackets.

Sectional action runs May 26-31 with the 64 survivors moving into a one-game regional round on Tuesday, June 3 and the four-team semi-states on Saturday, June 7.

The four state championship games that make up the state finals will be played June 13-14 at Purdue University’s Bittinger Stadium in West Lafayette.

Host schools will announce playing schedules which will then be added to the online brackets at MaxPreps.com the week before the tournament begins.

3A Sectional 30 at Charlestown : Madison got a bye and will play either Scottsburg or Corydon in Semi Final Action in Game 3 

2A Sectional #45 at Brown County 

Southwestern will play Switzerland County in Game 2
