Sectional gets underway May 28th around the area
A field of 383 teams will begin play at the end of the month as the pairings for the 58th Annual IHSAA Baseball State Tournament Series were announced Sunday evening.
Sectional games begin Wednesday, May 28, and continue through Monday, June 2, with regionals on Saturday, June 7. Two regional championship games will be played in a doubleheader format at the same site with each winner advancing to the four-team semi-state on Saturday, June 14.
The four state championship games will be played at Victory Field in Indianapolis, home of the Triple-A franchise Indianapolis Indians, for the 27th year overall.
The games will be played in a doubleheader format on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21.
Host schools will announce playing schedules which will then be added to the online brackets at MaxPreps.com the week before the tournament begins.

2A Sectional #45 at Switzerland County
Southwestern will play Brownstown GM 1 May 28
Switzerland County will play South Ripley in GM 4 May 29
