HANOVER COLLEGE ATHLETICS: 

 WOMEN BASKETBALL: Hanover over Rose Hulman 71-52. Panthers end the regular season as Co-HCAC CHAMPIONS with a 17-1 record and the #2 seed in the HCAC Tournament. Madison's Katie Hartman with 24, Alexis Nall 20 and Lexi Riggles 11 for the Panthers now 18-6 on the season. Panthers will play in the semi-finals of the HCAC Tournament on Saturday, February 29th at 3pm against the winner of the Earlham/Franklin game in Lexington.

MEN BASKETBALL; Hanover defeats Rose Hulman 65-55 to finish as the #3 seed in the HCAC tournament next weekend. Panthers end 11-7 in the HCAC and 17-8 overall. Kevin Williams 20, Logan Ratts 12 and Matt Weimer 11 for Hanover. Panthers will take on Rose Hulman again on Friday, February 28th in the quarterfinals of the HCAC Tournament in Lexington at 8pm

BASEBALL: Hanover split two games in Danville, KY winning the first over Trine 9-3 and falling to Centre in game two 8-3

WOMEN'S LACROSSE: Hanover opens the season with a 20-6 win at home over Bethel.

WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD: Claimed the HCAC INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP with 148.5 points. Head Coach Rachel Sharpe was named Coach of the Year in her first year as head coach. It is their 4th title since 2011.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD: Panthers finish 3rd in the HCAC Championships

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL:

2A #15 Southwestern falls to Scottsburg 79-60. Foster Mefford with 18 for the Rebels.

Switzerland Co. falls in overtime to South Dearborn 78-76. It is the Pacers 7th loss in a row and their 11th in the last 12 games.

Christian Academy of Madison defeats Columbus Christian 64-43 in the semi-finals of the ICSAA South Region. Fell to Evansville Christian 50-44 in overtime in the region title game.

 

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL:

Lexington Christian over Carroll Co. 42-35. Lady Panthers end their regular season at 10-18. Carroll Co. will open 31st District play Monday 6pm against Henry Co. at Gallatin Co.

 

IHSAA BOYS SWIMMING SECTIONAL AT FLOYD CENTRAL:

Madison finished 2nd overall as a team, Southwestern 8th, Switzerland Co. 11th and Shawe 13th.
