Area Sports Results From Wednesday, January 29th

Hanover men and women's basketball both a game out of first in HCAC

Hanover College men's basketball pulled to with in one game of first in the HCAC as they defeat Mt. St. Joseph 60-43 and Transylvania defeats Franklin 95-88. Panthers were lead by Issac Hibbard who notched his third double-double of the season with a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds. Matt Weimer also scored in double figures with 10. Hanover now 14-4 on the season and 8-3 in the HCAC travels to Manchester on Saturday.

 

Hanover College women's basketball remains one game back in the conference behind Transylvania, as they defeat Mt. St. Joseph 77-52. Alexis Nall lead the Panthers with 25, Kristin Mills had 17, while former Madison Lady Cub Katie Hartman and Savanna Courtney each added 10. Hanover now 11-6 overall and 10-1 in the HCAC also travels to Manchester on Saturday.

 

High School Girls Basketball on Thursday has Carroll Co. @ Dayton, Madison and Shawe close out their regular seasons as the Lady Cubs host 1A #1 Trinity Lutheran and the Lady Toppers travel to Rising Sun. Southwestern hosts 1A #7 Jac-Cen-Del for the ORVC title to close out their regular season.

And in boys, Carroll Co. hosts Henry Co.
