Former Lady Cub leads Hanover

Former Madison Lady Cub, Katie Hartman, scored 20 points as the Hanover women's basketball team rallied from ten down for a 74-73 victory over Spalding University in their home opener.

 

In a game featuring 11 ties and six lead changes, the Hanover men's basketball team fell to its second straight North Coast Athletic Conference opponent, dropping a 57-54 decision at Ohio Wesleyan. Cam Fails led the Panthers with 19 points.

 

Both Hanover women and men open HCAC play on Saturday at home against Franklin. Women tip at 1 with the men to follow.

 

High School Wrestling: Switzerland Co. defeats New Washington 30-24

 

Trinity High School in Louisville sent out an alert to students that class are canceled for today due to a threat. According to the school’s website, the threat revolves around football Coach Jeff Brohm and his decision to remain at Purdue instead of coming to the University of Louisville. Brohm is a Louisville native and Trinity alum.
