Shawe headed north to Osgood to face Crothersville in the first round of sectionals Wednesday night fresh off its first win of the season. Make that two now as the Hilltoppers were victorious winning 13-3 in 5 innings. Jacob Hart started on the mound and picked up the win going 3 and 1/3 innings giving up 3 runs only 2 earned while striking out 3. Tyler Hill pitched 1 and 2/3 innings in relief allowing 1 hit and no runs while striking out 3. At the plate the Toppers were led by Tyler Hill who was 3/4 with a double and an RBI while scoring 3 runs. Caavan Hambrick had 2 RBIs on a single. Brogan Johnson added 2 hits. Trae Liston and Conner Kahn had RBI singles. Gus Grote added a single and scored 2 runs. The Hilltoppers had 12 stolen bases. Shawe now advances to the semifinals and will face Oldenburg Academy Saturday morning.
