Shawe 3, Southwestern (Shelby) 3 Shawe won in penalty kicks 5-3

Shawe fell behind 2-0 in the first half against Southwestern (Shelbyville). Rodrigo Reyes-Miranda scored a penalty early in the second half (42nd min). In the 63 min Gus Grote finished a pass from Bartosz Rychlicki to tie the game. In the first overtime neither team scored. In the second overtime Shawe fell behind again 3-2 but was able to equalize on a goal from Rodrigo Reyes-Miranda on a pass from Bartosz Rychlicki. The game went to penalties: Shawe scored all 5 of their shots: Bartosz Rychlicki, Rodrigo Reyes-Miranda, Gus Grote, Leo Garcia, Tyler Hill.

Shawe will play Southwestern (Hanover) on Saturday in Championship

Shawe Girls 6, Trinity Lutheran 0

Shawe girls win first ever sectional game tonight defeating Trinity Lutheran 6 to 0. Odyssey Felix played a great game in goal shutting the down on all 5 shots they attempted. We out shot them 16 to 5 and scoring started 4 minutes in by Justice Kuntz off of a cross from Maria Ameca-mendoza the with 9:37 left in the half Salma Rangel broke thru the 18 with a pass from Sarah Willhite to take a 2 to 0 half time lead.  Then 4 minutes into the second half Maria Ameca-mendoza took a pass from Justice Kuntz  to make it 3-0 with 32 minutes left Ava Flint took a direct kick from 30 yards out after a foul and made it 4- 0 with 25 minutes left Maria Ameca-mendoza broke thru to score her 2nd goal then with 4 minutes left in the game Ruby Martin had a break away to score the final goal. The lady Toppers return to the pitch tomorrow to take on Christian academy of Indiana at 7
