(Madison, Ind.) – Shawe’s 8th-grade girls basketball team won the ORVC this past weekend by winning 3 games in a row on Saturday.
The girls defeated Rising Sun 43 to 8, Jac-Cen-Del 40 to 25, and South Ripley 33 to 25.
The girls finished their season with a 9 and 1 record and finished their junior high career with a 25 and 3 record. This group of girls also won the 7th-grade ORVC tournament last year.
"We are so proud of all the girls. This has been a great group that has had a lot of success. They are not afraid to work hard during the season and during the off-season. That is what makes them so good. They will be fun to watch in all sports moving forward,” said coach Lane Turner.
