Thurston Signs Minor League Baseball Contract

Kramer and Yancy have good day in all-star classic

Over the weekend former Madison Cub, Ryan Thurston signed to play baseball with the Toronto Blue Jay organization. Thurston pitched for Western Kentucky in College. According to his father Dan Thurston, Ryan will begin his career with the Gulf Coast Blue Jays in the Rookie League in Dunedin, FL. The Blue Jays first game in today against the Pirates in Bradenton, Florida. Thurston's signing makes him the 4th Madison Cub in the past 15 years to play minor league baseball joining Bryan Bullington, Chris Bass and Keith Black. Southwestern's Erik Morrison also played in the minors over that span.

 

Tyler Kramer and Cooper Yancy booth took part in the Indiana Class All Star Basketball game Saturday at Anderson University. Yancy had 10 points for his team while Kramer had six points and seven rebounds for his team.
