Randy Scruggs Passes Away At Age 64

Son of the legendary Earl Scruggs

The country music community is grieving the sudden death of songwriter, musician and producer Randy Scruggs. 

Sources tell the "Tennessean" he died Tuesday after a brief illness. 

He was 64.  Scruggs is the second son of the legendary Earl Scruggs. 

Travis Tritt and Charlie Daniels are just a few of the artists who sent their condolences after hearing the news.
