In anticipation of the warm weather for the Taylor Swift Concert at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium (PJCS) on Saturday, the following Heat Action Plan has been put into place.

It will be a muggy 95 degrees but the humidity will make it feel 10 degrees hotter.

Three (3) Buses from Miller Transportation will be placed around the stadium starting at 3 pm that will be used as Cooling Stations.  These buses will be open to anyone looking for a cool spot to stop and rest prior to entering the facility.

As patrons walk the main stadium concourse they will find large fans stationed to provide a breeze.  Centerplate, the stadium concessionaire, has brought in over 50,000 bottles of water that will be available throughout the facility and to those seated on the field level for the concert.

In addition to the water, over 70,000 lbs. of ice will be available in the facility as the concession staff will continue to provide free 12 oz. cups with ice to anyone looking to get water from any of the water fountains located throughout the stadium.  This is all in addition to the Gatorade and Pepsi products that are always available at any concession stand in the facility.

In addition to the full medical and ambulatory staff and equipment that will be onsite, extra staff and equipment have been brought in to staff the cooling station buses during the concert.

Knowing that the weather forecast is calling for a warmer day, it is everyone’s responsibility to stay hydrated not only during the concert, but before they arrive to attend the event.
