Nominations for the 2021 Golden Hoosier Award are being accepted by Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Family of Social Services Administration’s Department of Aging.

The award began in 2008 and annually honors Hoosier senior citizens for their lifetime of service and commitment to their communities.

"Despite all the challenges we faced as a state over the past year, we still had numerous Hoosiers who were going above and beyond to better their communities,” Crouch says.

Indiana residents aged 65 and older that have been a volunteer in the community for the past 3 years are eligible for the Golden Hoosier Award.

Visit in.gov/lg/2732.htm. to access the form to make a nomination.

Applications are due by Saturday, June 19, 2021.

A ceremony honoring those selected will be held virtually later this year.
