24 Students From Shawe Jr High Inducted To National Junior Honor Society

In order to be considered for a membership, a student must achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.33.

(Madison, Ind.) – On Tuesday, April 13 the Sr. Thomasita Hayes Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society has inducted 24 new members from the classes of 2024 and 2025 at Shawe Memorial Jr/Sr High School.

In order to be considered for a membership, a student must achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.33. Members are charged with upholding five qualities that serve as standards for the Society: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship.

“These are obviously lofty goals and very few students go through their time here at Shawe without faltering in one of these areas. Congratulations to those who are inducted and stay in good standing. It is a true accomplishment, and I am proud that our chapters of these clubs are as large as they are,” stated Mr. Curt Gardner, Principal.
