(Carroll County, Ky.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a traffic alert on Interstate 71 northbound in Carroll County.
A commercial vehicle fire has blocked all lanes on I-71 northbound at the 47 mile marker. This is located northeast of the Carrollton exit. No timeline has been provided for the length of the closure.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes to avoid delays. Motorists can detour using I-71 northbound to KY 227 (Carrollton exit), to U.S. 42, to KY 1039.
