(Madison, Ind.) – Travel advisories have been issued as the snow continues to fall in the area.
According to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, the following counties have been issued a travel advisory:
- Jefferson, yellow
- Switzerland, yellow
- Scott, orange
- Jennings, yellow
- Ripley, yellow
Under a Yellow Travel Advisory, routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas. Under the Orange Advisory, conditions are threatening to the safety of the public.

In Kentucky, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office has announced a Level One Snow Emergency. Extreme caution on the roadways is advised.
